Gluten-free 101* – November 3rd and December 1st
Learn why eating less gluten is beneficial to your health and easy ways to replace common glutinous staples like bread, pasta and cookies.

Healthy and Delicious Cookies & Candy – November 10th and December 8th
Trying to eat healthy this holiday season and thinking that means you’ll need to steer clear of the sweets table? Well this class is for you! Learn how to make gluten-free sugar cookies and chocolate peanut butter cups; Both are free of all dairy, eggs and, gluten.

Holiday Pies – November 14th and 21st
Come learn how to make amazing pies without all the cream, butter and eggs. Join us and walk away with an amazing baked bosc pear pie and raw pecan pie. Both are gluten-free and vegan.

I am super excited to announce our upcoming Pure Bliss Cleanse in partnership with Pure Juicery and Nirvana Yoga in the Village of Barrington! 

Join us September 21st-30th and step in to Fall
with a clean body, a clear mind & an open heart.

Fall is a wonderful time to clean out our bodies, minds and spirits in preparation for the winter hibernation {yes, winter is coming…again ;-)}.  If you’ve been interested in trying a cleanse before, but have a hard time sticking with it or worried you’ll be starving or having to stomach boring, bland food well then the cleanse we have created is for you 🙂

The cleanse begins on the Fall Equinox, Monday, September 21st and ends Wednesday, September 30th.  Included in the cleanse is kick-start class Sunday, September 20th at 4pm where we will gather and discuss how to live and eat consciously, as well as explore the benefits of cleansing.  As we complete our cleanse we will all gather again at Nirvana Yoga in the Village with an incredible heart-centered yoga class with Marlene Rucks on Wednesday, September 30th at 5pm.

The purpose of this cleanse is not starvation or deprivation.  The purpose is to slow down and give our bodies the chance to clean out and let go of whatever is no longer serving us.

Learn how to come back in to partnership with your body, versus trying to control it, and why diets have failed you in the past.  Hint, it has nothing to do with willpower! I will share what I learned on my journey with raw, vegan, plant-based living and give you the tools to embrace a healthy lifestyle without diet dogmas, deprivation, food obsession and boring tasteless food.

Hands-on Raw Food Culinary Program, Whole Foods Roosevelt Square
In this hands-on program, you’ll be joining a group of students passionate about enhancing their mastery of raw food recipes, as well as their own health and well-being.  Immerse yourself in the art of raw food preparation while you learn over 30 raw food recipes spanning drinks, appetizers, salads, dressing, dips, pates, entrees and desserts – pizza?  pasta?  pie?  Nothing is off-limits in this class and you will be AMAZED at the results and how simple it really is to create delicious recipes that leave your body feel clean and energized!  Each class includes 3 hours of hands-on instruction and a 30 minute potluck where students get to enjoy the fruits of their labor, as well as share a raw food creation they prepared at home.

This program is an especially unique opportunity to engage in Thrive’s community, a group of people committed to creating and promoting health + vitality in their kitchens and beyond. We promise that upon completion of this program, you will have had an unprecedented experience of community, and a brand new culinary skill-set for creating foods designed to support a healthy, joyous + vibrant life.
